Bearded Iris
Hybrids having ruffled flowers with a beard of fleshy hairs on lower fall petals. Hybrids are often called flag or German irises. Striking though short season, spring & early summer, with many flowers per stem in a very wide colour range, often bi-coloured. Sword like grey green semi evergreen leaves in fans.
